The Tax Collector’s Office is responsible for collecting the municipal taxes on real estate, personal property, and motor vehicles in order to provide revenue for the programs deemed necessary and/or desirable to operate the Town. These taxes become due and payable on July 1 and Jan. 1. Interest is calculated and collected on all accounts past due on Aug. 1 and Feb. 1. Liens are filed on all unpaid current real estate taxes in the spring. 

The Tax Collector’s Office will have NO  PUBLIC OFFICE HOURS until further notice. The office will be STAFFED Mon., Tues., Wed. & Fri., 8:30 AM – 3 PM.  Please contact us by phone or email.

Messages and Information from the Tax Collector

The mill rate  for July 1, 2020 thru June 30th, 2021 is set at 36.836.

TO OBTAIN AN IMMEDIATE DMV RELEASE payment must be made by Bank check or Money Order. If you use the online option, you will need to wait 10 business days to have the delinquency removed from the DMV.
