Connecticut Presidential Preference Primary postponed until June 2, 2020

On March 19, 2020, Secretary Merrill and Governor Lamont have decided to postpone the April 28, 2020 Presidential Preference Primary to June 2, 2020.  Secretary Merrill’s most important concerns are allowing every Connecticut voter to make their voice heard in the selection of the presidential candidates, and ensuring that they are able to cast their ballots as safely as possible.

On June 2, 2020, there will be a statewide Presidential Preference Primary for both the Democratic and Republican parties.

To vote in either primary, you MUST be registered as a party member.

If you are not registered with a political party, you are an Unaffiliated voter. As such, you may change your party affiliation to Democratic or Republican up until noon on June 1, 2020 and be able to vote in the primary on June 2, 2020.
